The Scleroderma Foundation is the national organization for people with scleroderma and their families and friends.  The Foundation's 22 Chapters and 145 Support Groups nationwide help to carry out a three-fold mission of support, education, and research.

Support: To help patients and their families cope with scleroderma through mutual support programs, peer counseling, physician referrals, and educational information.

Education: To promote public awareness and education through patient and health professional seminars, literature, and publicity campaigns.

Research: To stimulate and support research to improve treatment and ultimately find the cause of and cure for scleroderma and related diseases.

Scleroderma is not contagious; it is not infectious; it is not cancerous or malignant. There are an estimated 300,000 people in the US who have scleroderma, and one third of whom have the systemic form of scleroderma. Since scleroderma presents with symptoms similar to other autoimmune diseases, diagnosis is difficult and there may be many misdiagnosed or undiagnosed cases as well.

Our Activities

Homemade Ice Cream Sale: All ice creams and sorbets are homemade.  Suggested donation per pint is $5.  Ice creams will be available throughout December.  The sooner your order comes, the sooner your ice cream will be available.  If you need it by a specific date (such as for a party), please let us know.
